Guria. CSOs have started developing a draft law on the forms of citizen participation in the "Local Self-Government Code". To discuss the formation of Public Councils, the Rural Assembly of Georgia is organizing meetings with the local population in the villages of Guria, Samegrelo and Shida Kartli. Members of the Rural Assembly have already held 16 meetings, where they have discussed the views of the rural population on the draft law. Analysis of the results will be submitted to the Parliamentary Committee.
