Tbilisi. "Transparency International - Georgia" has released a blog post "Who the Government of Sweden is assisting and what does the campaign launched against CSOs serve". "After Bidzina Ivanishvili has announced the release of information discrediting active representatives of the civil society, a targeted discrediting campaign is launched against the Swedish Government and its international aid agency, Sida. Key message of these accusations is that CSO activities are suspicious because they are partly funded by the Swedish Government.
We believe this campaign not only tarnishes the reputation of CSOs, but considerably damages the relations of Georgia with the Swedish Government", the blog post states. For the full text:
