Young Constitutionalists Comment on Election of the Supreme Court Chair
Tbilisi. The "Georgian Young Constitutionalists' Association" has commented on the pending discussion over the election of the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia. "The organization urges the President and Parliament of Georgia to timely elect the Chairperson of the Supreme court of Georgia, because the Georgian judicial system requires fundamental reforms and its implementation may be linked to election of the very new Chairperson. The organization would like to stress that as recommended by various international organizations and under the Association Agreement with the EU, the Georgian state is obligated to bring its judicial system in compliance with international standards, including the solution of judges' qualification", the statement says.
