from April the center "Abkhazeti" will launch the implementation of 3
new projects:The
"Psycho-Rehabilitation Program of Probationers" will be implemented
in Zugdidi and Telavi. Project beneficiaries are the probationers, who will be
selected together with the probation officer and social worker for
participation in the groups.
Tbilisi. As part of the "Learning
Climbing" program of the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Georgia, the
Climbers Association of Georgia plans to launch a new project aimed at teaching
climbing to persons with various disabilities.

Development Program has presented the study on "Social and Economic
Vulnerability in Georgia".
Imereti. On March
21, the Kutaisi Youth Center has celebrated the World Down Syndrome Day with an
information campaign.
Samtskhe-Javakheti. On March 21, the
delivery of business trainings for the former inmates has started in the
Akhaltsikhe public college "Opizari".
Kakheti. On March 21, the Georgian Red Cross
Society has held a workshop in the Telavi Civic Engagement Center concerning
the 2013 action plan of the Kakheti Region.
Tbilisi. Go Group has started working on a new
film depicting the life of Dukhobors residing in Georgia.
Imereti. The Kutaisi Youth Center has held the
event titled "Peers for Peers" for the children with disabilities.
Tbilisi. The organization "Let's Make Friends with the Blind" has
delivered a public lecture in the School #202 of the blind and short-sighted
children.
Adjara. On March9, the youth organization
"Art Way" has held another event as part of the project
"Re-Animation" in the Batumi Haven for Hope.
Tbilisi. The Association
"Woman and Business" and the "Penal Reform International"
have organized the events on March 7 to commemorate the International Women's
Day.
Kakheti.Telavi
Youth Initiative Group started collecting books for the inmates.
Tbilisi. On February 27, the Head of the EC
Delegation to Georgia FilipDimitrov, the Representative of the UN Children Fund
in Georgia SaschaGraumann and the Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs
of Georgia Davit Sergeenko have presented the new program: Let's care about
most vulnerable children in Georgia.
Tbilisi. "Transparency International -
Georgia" has activated the hot line for free legal aid in Tbilisi, Batumi,
Kutaisi and Zugdidi.
Samegrelo. The Strategy and International Relations
Research Fund and the NGO "Imedi" (hope) have presented on February
25 in Zugdidi the results of study on the problems of the local population
living along the administrative border of Abkhazia.
Svaneti. As part of the Zemo Svaneti Project of the
Consultations and Training Center, at the initiative of the German volunteers,
the English language club was set up in the Mestia Resource Center, where the
youngsters from Zemo Svaneti have the opportunity to discuss with them topics
of interest, as well as to improve their English skills through games, movies
and songs.
Tbilisi. Students of the 18th intake of the weekend multiethnic school of the
Caucasian House have visited the well-known Gari Davtiani family theatre in
Tbilisi.
Samtskhe-Javakheti. On February 20, the World
day of Social Justice was celebrated in Akhaltsikhe.
Kakheti. On February 19, the
international association "Georgian Women for Peace and Life" has
presented wheelchairs to 27 citizens with disabilities based in Gurjaani.
Adjara. The
association "Deserving Old Age” has held the charity event for the single
elderly living beyond the poverty line.
Batumi. On February 14, as part of the project
"Improving the Enabling Environment of CSOs in Georgia”, the Civil Society
Institute has organized a meeting in the Batumi Civic Engagement Center with
the charity organizations.
Shida Kartli. On February 13, the youth center
functioning with the Gori Club of Persons with Disabilities and the youngsters
with disabilities have organized the event and planted the new saplings in the
yard of the Club of Persons with Disabilities.
