  • The overall objective of the program is to reduce economic disparities, whilst maintaining economic growth and as such supporting the transition process.   • The Foundation has reshaped its Human Rights Program to focus on the protection of fundamental rights in the field of criminal justice. The Program will support outstanding initiatives from civil society organizations and independent experts in criminal justice field, aimed at improving legal framework and practice on pretrial justice, and liberalization of criminal justice policy in Georgia

  • Decentralization is a key element in building a democratic society, promoting civil participation and ensuring the governments greater accountability. Despite the various changes adopted, legislation pertaining to self-governance requires further amendments to assure the independence of municipal units, civil participation in the decision-making process and the corruption-free local administration.

  • The program goals are: to help young people realize their potential, adolescents and young people, especially vulnerable groups, maximum coverage, the government devised by the young people at all levels.

  • NEO will deliver assistance to 84 communities in 10 municipalities of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Shida-Kartli, Racha-Lechkhumi, and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regions. By working closely with communities to develop practical economic planning, NEO will engage a broad stakeholder base to support the implementation of community-identified priorities in economic development and small-scale infrastructure rehabilitation. Through a combination of technical assistance and grants across all four components, we will promote improved living standards for our beneficiaries through enhanced household production, diversified sources of income, and increased employment opportunities. In addition, NEO will support IDP communities in selected areas to promote the sustainability of their houses.
