Guria. On October 19, Entrepreneurial course was started at the Learning and Employment support Centre of Chokhatauri. The first Module - Basic Principles of Starting a Business and Customer Relationships - was lead by CSRDG trainers Luka Namoradze and Nino Tsetskhladze. Training Topics: Generating business ideas; Components of a business plan Skills and qualities of entrepreneur; interpersonal communication Identifying client needs; Convincing and positive language Effective offer; non-verbal communication, etc. The course is organized within the project "Skill Building and Innovative Job Opportunities for Regional Development of Georgia" implemented by the Georgian Center for Strategic Research and Development (CSRDG) in collaboration with Young Pedagoues' Union and the Georgian Civic Development Association in Guria, Kakheti and Kvemo Kartli region. Within the frames of the Global Media and Information Literacy (#MIL) Week, today ISFED organized an 🇪🇺 EU-funded Conference with a panel discussion about media literacy and other means of strengthening society's resistance to disinformation.  “The EU stands ready to help Georgians become more resilient and well armoured against disinformation. Tbilisi. On October 22-23, 2022, the employees of the Public Defender’s Office conducted training for civic education teachers on important aspects of children's rights. According to the EUvsDiSinfo, Russia’s deliberate attacks on civilians in Ukraine are accompanied by disinformation campaigns. One of the Kremlin’s lies tell that Kamikadze drones targeted non-residential areas only. In fact, Russia deliberately targets civilians. At least 4 people were killed in a drone attack on Kyiv. Samtskhe-Javakheti. Meeting with the US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly C. Degnan  was held at Samtskhe-Javakheti State University on October 25, 2022. Together with the local students, participants of the GFSIS project from villages Mokhe, Zarzma and Daba Adigeni attended the meeting.  Community Youth Engagement in the Regions of Georgia has been launched since October 2021 by Rondeli Foundation with the financial support of the US Embassy, which aims to increase civic awareness among public school pupils of Mountainous Adjara, Tserovani, and Adigeni Municipality and stregthen their capacity through non-formal educational activities. On October 19, the representatives of Taso Foundation visited the projects of the participants of the “Women's Economic Empowerment” program in the village of Dimi, Baghdati municipality: vegetable greenhouse and a family cellar. On October 18-19,  2022, in the framework of the project Community Youth Engagement in the Regions of Georgia, the following discussion was held by George Melashvili (President of the European-Georgian Institute) and Aka Zarqua (Online edition Realpolitik editor-in-chief). The lecturer and students discussed about the historical discourse of disinformation, its influence on the formation of public opinion, and modern examples of disinformation. Georgia. Spectacular Georgian fortresses, castles and towers are the focus of a Parliamentary thematic inquiry that studies the potential to revitalize disused historic monuments. The inquiry looked into ways to bring new life to historic sites, using their cultural value for redeveloping surrounding areas. It explored policy approaches for sustainable protection and preservation of historic heritage and studied the role of national and local authorities, the private sector and civil society in designing conservation and management tools.
