Tbilisi. A group of CSO and religious organizations has addressed addressed the Parliament of Georgia with a petition requesting to probe into recent facts of religious intolerance and violence. Signatory organizations demand that "the parliamentary control is exercised over the Government's policy and that the legislative body timely reacts to limitations of religious freedom (including in cases of Kobuleti, Mokhe, Terjola) and revises the Government's ineffective policies with respect to offences driven by religious hatred", the web page of the Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center states.
