Kakheti. The Telavi Civic Engagement
Center has organized a discussion on the Women beyond decisions and economic
empowerment of women. Meeting participants have discussed women's political
participation and lobbying of their issues.
The meeting
aimed to examine gender aspects of an electoral system in Georgia and the
internal party democracy, which do not create competitive environment for
candidate women. At the end of the meeting the audience watched the documentary
shot by the "TASO" Foundation - "At Home and Backwards",
followed by a discussion.
