Tbilisi. At the end of the last year the Tbilisi City Court has fully granted the lawsuit of the Institute for the Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) against the Ministry of Interior. As a result, the Ministry was instructed to fully provide to the Institute information on the bonuses and supplements paid to the Minister, Deputy Ministers and the department heads in 2013 by individual months, by indicating individual names and surnames, the organization's web page states.
"We hope the Ministry of Interior of Georgia will fully enforce the court decision and provide us with information on bonuses and supplements received by officials, fully, as requested by the Institute. We also hope that this decision will finally introduce in Georgia a high standard of publicity and accessibility of information on the incomes of officials, because this was one of the most problematic issues over these years", the news posted on the Institute's web page says.
