Adjara. One day in a wheelchair and personally-experienced difficulties that persons with disabilities encounter on a daily basis. "Adapting Batumi" was the name of initiative dedicated to identification of this problem and search of ways of its solution. The initiative participants have focused mainly on raising public awareness. They have visited places requiring adaptation most given their importance. The initiative was organized by CSO "Changes for Equal Rights" and individual citizen AleksandreTevzadze. Apart from the third sector representatives, the staff of various services of the Batumi City Hall have also participated. The initiative aimed to assist local authorities in better understanding, acknowledging and expediting the solution of problems of persons with disabilities.
