Tbilisi. Coalition "For Independent and Transparent Judiciary" finds it important to draw public attention to suspended process of appointment of judges by the High Council of Justice of Georgia, releasing a respective statement.
"We believe that the pending process of electing the Supreme Court Chair should not prevent the launched process of filling vacant position of judges, and for that matter, efficient functioning of courts in the country. Even more importantly, the High Council of Justice should proceed with the process of appointment of judges without raising public concerns in relation to independence of the High Council of Justice members", the statement says.
