CSO Statement on the ''Panorama Tbilisi'' Project
Tbilisi. CSOs have released a joint statement on the ''Panorama Tbilisi'' project, according to which on July 16 media reports claimed that the Technical and Construction Supervision Agency within the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia has issued a construction permit for the ''Panorama Tbilisi'' project.
''We acknowledge the importance of investments and economic development for the country, but would like to remind the authorities that the city belongs to the people and not to a legal entity or a physical person having a title to the specific land plot. Therefore, making speedy and non-transparent decisions without public involvement over significant projects of wide public concern contradicts the principles of democratic governance''...
