Kakheti. "Sun Homewards" – is the title
of the first album sung by the beneficiaries of community "Kedeli",
persons with disabilities, which includes the Georgian folk and town songs.
Money raised from selling the album will be entirely spent on caring after the
community members.
"It
is important for us that the external world shares and uses the fruit of our
work. We would like all to see that as any other men, we are happy as well,
have interests, skills, capacity and can display them respectively. We share
our songs with great respect and pleasure", – says the wording on the
album, the authors of which have the only family - community "Kedeli".
Community
"Kedeli" was founded in 2000 in Georgia as a residential community
for the adults with the mental and physical impairments, in order to create a
dignified living environment for them and ensure their integration into the
society by carrying out labor therapeutic activities and developing their
individual skills.
Share and purchase the album of their
songs.
