Parliamentary discussion on changes to the Law on Gender Equality
Imereti. Parliamentary Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee discussed the proposed changes to the Law on Gender Equality prepared by the Women's Information Center and working group. The initiative was presented by Vice-Speaker and Head of Gender Equality Council Manana Kobakhidze.
„Proposed changes to the Law on gender Equality consider establishment of institutional mechanism of gender equality by ensuring gender equality council at City Councils and appointment of persons with responsibility on gender equality issues at the Governor's Office", is noted in the statement.
