Tbilisi. Non-governmental organizations express their solidarity with the Muslim community regarding construction of a mosque in Batumi.

''We, undersigning organizations, believe that it is important for the state to review the issue of construction of a new mosque in Batumi from a perspective of human rights and to depoliticize the issue, of which certain xenophobic and Islamophobic political, clerical and social groups are radically against'' – is noted in the joint statement.
