Tbilisi. On November 9, 2016, the Public Defender’s Consultative Council for Monitoring the Promotion, Protection and Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities held its eighth working meeting.

''The Consultative Council discussed the following issues of the agenda: implemented and planned activities in terms of monitoring the promotion, protection and implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and got information about the monitoring report of the implementation of the Convention.

At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed the human rights situation of persons with disabilities and a variety of issues relating to the monitoring of the United Nations Convention'', is noted in the statement.
