Presentation of Campaign ''Sober when Driving'' Held in Zugdidi
Samegrelo. On February 3, the Association "Atinati” and the Georgian Alliance – "For Safe Roads” has
organized the presentation of the project "Sober when Driving”. The civic clubs
of "Atinati” functioning as part of the Civic Education and Teacher Training
Program and the staff members of the Patrol Police were invited to the meeting.Representative of the Georgian Alliance "For Safe Roads” Maia Kobalia
has talked about car accidents occurring on the world roads annually. According
to her, 93% of car accidents are fully or partially caused by the drivers’
mistakes, alcohol intoxication and other human factors. The campaign "Sober
when Driving” aims to raise public awareness on the drunk driving and to reduce
the number of car accidents caused by it.According to the Head of the Zugdidi Patrol Police Vakhtang Dadunadze,
similar meetings with the youngsters are of crucial importance.
