Tbilisi. On June 16, the Venice Commission will approve a final conclusion on draft amendments to the Constitution of Georgia.

''A number of statements made by the ruling party give birth to a doubt about an attempt of the government to find ways of how to avoid full taking of recommendations of the Venice Commission into consideration and leave an impression that the authorities are trying to diminish certain recommendations of the Venice Commission.

Therefore, we call on the Parliament of Georgia:

To fully take into account those recommendations and comments, which will be reflected in a final conclusion of the Venice Commission'' – is noted in the joint statement.
