''We consider it critically important that the Government demonstrates political will while appointing the independent Auditor General who will not be associated with any political force and will be accountable only to the Constitution and Parliament. This is an essential precondition for ensuring independence of the State Audit Office as a constitutional institution'' – is noted in the joint statement.
