PHR has addressed the Ombudsman with a request to determine discrimination

Tbilisi. Partnership for Human Rights (PHR) addresses the Public Defender with a request to determine discrimination.
"PHR considers that an order of the Ministry regarding approval of a form for applying to the Inclusive Education Development Division is discriminatory. The form allows a parent or legal representative of a student with a special educational need to apply to the Division and request to admit the child to the inclusive education program. In case a child has a special educational need but the legal representative does not see a necessity to apply, the child remains, in reality, without realization of the right to education. As a matter of fact, due to the above reason hundreds of children are beyond the education system nowadays” – is noted in the statement of the organization.
