Tbilisi. IDFI launched a new initiative, which aims to ensure openness of soviet state archives.

''Leading the process, IDFI will create a circle of research institutions & individuals from 9 countries working on post-soviet themes. As part of this initiative, the methodology to assess the openness of state archives in participant countries will be created and the results of the assessment is to be published on a specially create web site'', is noted in the statement.
