IDFI Presented the Research on Access to Open Data in Georgia and Visegrad Countries
Tbilisi. On May 29, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) published a study of accessibility of open data in Georgia and the Visegrad countries, and held a presentation of its results.
''Slovakia and the Czech Republic showed relatively better results in terms of access to open data. This is largely due to the existence of the concept of open data and publication standards in the legislation of these countries. This further illustrates the necessity for the Georgian Government and the Ministry of Justice to accelerate the submission of the new draft law on Freedom of Information to the Parliament, which will ensure access to and publication of open data'', is noted in the statement.
The web portal CsoGeorgia.org releases a weekly newsletter of grants competition, contests, vacancies, fellowships, and tenders for civil society organizations, and for any interested person.
