Tbilisi. FLEX alumna Natia Sirdadze, implemented a Democracy Outreach Alumni grant project to support 44 High School Students from different regions of Georgia, who took part in four-day Legal Education Workshop. Participants attended seminars given by well-known experts in the relevant field. Students were involved in interactive group discussions, debates and moot court. Today, all participating students were awarded certificates at the Public Service Hall in Tbilisi. Together with the PAS colleagues, certificates were awarded by representatives of Ministry of Justice and American Councils. The U.S. Embassy annually announces Democracy Outreach/Alumni grants competition. Through the program the U.S. Embassy provides support to the U.S. Government (USG) alumni activities. Grants are provided to organizations that have USG alumni as members, or to individual alumni, for activities that support democratic advancement and economic reform. The program is administered directly by the Public Affairs Office of the U.S. Embassy Tbilisi.
