Tbilisi. The Public Initiative coalition issued a petition regarding the change of the GPB logo(symbol, colors, design) on September 24. The petition reads that "Russia currently occupies 20 percent of Georgia’s territory”, so in light of that fact it is insulting for the Georgian nation that the logo of the Public Broadcaster is similar to that of the First Channel of the occupant country". Members of the coalition demand explanation as to why the logo and color of the Public Broadcaster has been changed. The signees of the petitions as well demand that a new selecting contest for the GPB logo is held.
