Tbilisi. The Executive Director of the European Foundation for Democracy has met with the CSO and media representatives. The meeting aimed at getting familiar with the mandate and working principles of the Foundation established three months ago.

The European Foundation for Democracy was founded recently with the joint efforts of the EU member states and the EU institutions. This is the new European initiative, which aims to support and foster the "deep and sustainable democracy" in the transitional democratic states and societies struggling for democratization.
