Statement of the Georgian Young Constitutionalists' Association
Tbilisi. The "Georgian Young Constitutionalists' Association" has released a statement on November 7. The organization "condemns each fact of human rights violations, thus recollecting numerous illegal actions on 7 November 2007. Notably, fundamental human rights secured under the Constitution have been infringed upon. The then authorities have used against peaceful demonstrators disproportionate force, numerous facts of infringement upon human dignity have been reported, and independent TV companies were ravaged and journalistic activities were obstructed. At the same time, the described facts have not been fully investigated until now, which raises our utmost concern", says the statement.
