Adjara. The Global Environmental Fund (GEF) has
met with the local CSO representatives on November 11 in the Batumi Civic
Engagement Center. The meeting aimed to inform the third sector representatives
interested in the issue about the terms of grant competition announced as part
of the Small Grants Program. Meeting participants have discussed in a
question-and-answer mode the issues that the applicant organization should take
into account when submitting a project proposal. As already stated, funded
mostly are the projects focused on environmental protection and contribution to
the development of areas such as increasing the capacity and opportunities of
local communities, gender equality, reduction of poverty and improvement of
economic and social conditions of the local population.
The web portal CsoGeorgia.org releases a weekly newsletter of grants competition, contests, vacancies, fellowships, and tenders for civil society organizations, and for any interested person.
