Visit of Schoolchildren of School-Based Eco-Clubs to the Borjomi-Kharagauli Forest-Park
Samtskhe-Javakheti. At the
initiative of the Charity Humanitarian Center "Abkhazeti", 78
schoolchildren affiliated with the eco-clubs of public schools of eight
villages in the Gori Municipality have visited on November 9-10 the
Borjomi-Kharagauli forest-park. The schoolchildren got familiar with the
biodiversity of this park and hiked the special route together with the
professional excursion guide.The objective
of this tour was to get the schoolchildren of eco-clubs familiar with the fauna
and flora of the forest-park and for them to select topics for subsequent
presentation at the special conference.The event was
held as part of the "Youth Engagement and Participation" project,
funded by USAID and implemented with support of UNICEF.
