Joint Statement of CSOs

Tbilisi. CSO members of the campaign "This Affects You Too", "Eastern Partnership National Platform of Georgia" and "Media Advocacy Coalition" have released the statement. In the statement organizations urge the authorities to create guarantees through legislative amendments so that the effect of "Must carry" and "must offer" principles remains valid until the transition to digital broadcasting. In addition, they welcome the political will expressed by the authorities and hope that the promise of the authorities - to revise the decision on the arrest of equipment belonging to TV company "Maestro" and to give the TV company an opportunity to expand the number of its customers on certain conditions - will be followed by tangible measures.
