‘’Gender, Woman and Elections’’

Ajarai. On September14, the Batumi Civic Engagement Center has hosted the round table on "Gender, Woman and Elections". The meeting aimed to identify the problems and stereotypes preventing gender equality policies in Georgia and its regions and the possible ways of their solution.
Local activist/leader women, representatives of local CSOs and governmental institutions, political parties, students, other social groups, IDPs living in the region, ethnic minorities and mass media have participated in the meeting.
Meeting participants have discussed problems existing in the region in terms of gender equality, identified ways of problem solution and developed recommendations.
The project is implemented by the "Association of Young Teachers and Psychologists", with the financial support of the "International Foundation for Electoral Systems" and the United States Agency for International Development.
