Report of Media Monitoring Of Coverage of Parliamentary Elections

Tbilisi. On September14 the Human Rights Center has released the results of the last two periodic reports of media monitoring of coverage of parliamentary elections. The monitors of the Human Rights Center have observed the secret political, social and paid political ads on the following television channels: Public Broadcaster, "Imedi", "Rustavi 2", "Kavkasia", "Maestro" and 9th Channel.
The monitoring covers the periods of July 30 - August 12, as well as August 13–26.
Media monitoring aims to identify the trends of coverage of electoral campaign by the media and develop recommendations for improving the election environment. The study includes both quantitative and qualitative components.
Media monitoring is carried out as part of the USAID-funded four-year project "Building Trust Towards Electoral Processes", implemented by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
