Tbilisi. The Public Defender resonates with the events in the village of Ghurta of the Khulo region. "On 8 March, 2014, the citizens of 5 villages: Didachara, Geladzeebi, Diakonidzeebi, Ghurta and Paksaadzeebi, protested the decision of the tunnel building for the construction of hydroelectric station by the "Ajaristskali Georgia” in the region of Khulo. ...The Public Defender thinks that the rights of each citizen especially the ones residing on the territory of the construction of hydroelectric station should be taken into consideration. It is important to continue the dialogue between the Government and the people and the former should pay attention to the concerns of a local population as to guarantee the rights of the citizens to live in a safe, peaceful and decent Conditions".
