Address of NGOs to the Ministry of Culture and Historic Monument’s Protection
Tbilisi. Non-Governmental organizations address to to the Ministry of Culture and Historic Monument’s Protection. "As it is known, according to the March 14 decision of the Ministry of Culture and Historic Monuments’ Protection "RMG Gold” LLC became entitled to carry out relevant activities in Sakdirisi Khachiani. Although there is high public interest on the issue, the Ministry of Culture and Historic Monument’s Protection failed to publicize the decision and was limited only to the short statement released on the web-page of the Ministry. Moreover, the circumstances provided for in the statement generate more questions about impartiality of the Ministry’s decision. In view of above, undersigned organizations call on the Ministry of Culture and Historic Monuments’ Protection to release proactively and immediately on its web-page the decision entitling "RMG Gold” LLC to conduct relevant operations in Sakdrisi-Khachiani goldmine. Furthermore, we ask the Ministry to disclose all official documents that were used by the Ministry in decision making process".
