CSOs Address Public Broadcaster's Self-Regulatory Authority
Tbilisi. CSOs have addressed the Public
Broadcaster's self-regulatory authority. "On April 19 Public Broadcaster
was showing a live broadcast of event marking the tradition of emanation of
Holy Fire in Jerusalem, commented by clergymen.We, the signatory organizations to the statement
believe that during the comments made throughout broadcasting process the
Public Broadcaster has violated the requirements as of the Law "on
Broadcasting", as well as of the Broadcasters' Code of Conduct and the
Public Broadcaster's Code of Conduct," says the statement.The statement lists the points included in the
complaint of CSOs submitted with the Public Broadcaster's self-regulatory
authority.
