Guide to Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Tbilisi. The Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center has presented a guide to
implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
(UNCRPD). The document aims to assess the status of rights of persons with
disabilities in terms of compatibility with the Convention and to develop
recommendatory concept on implementation of the Convention for the legislative
and executive authorities. The guide identifies key gaps of the current
legislative framework and the state policy and defines potential areas of
changes consistent with the requirements of the Convention.
