Engaging Population in Political Life – Discussion in Akhaltsikhe
Samtskhe-Javakheti. Engagement of the population in political
life was discussed in the Akhaltsikhe Civic Engagement Center.How should the local self-government and
the youth cooperate, does the population have the right to attend Sakrebulo
sittings – these and other important issues were discussed on August 31 at the
initiative of the Civic Engagement Center. Local youth and the civil sector
representatives have attended the meeting. They have expressed their opinions
in respect of these issues, noting that the population must also be involved in
the decision-making process.The meeting was led by the member of CSO
"Union of Meskhetian Women" and coordinator of the
"International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy". They have
informed the participants about their rights and urged them to engage in a
political life.
