Background:
DVV International Georgia Country Office together with the Georgian Adult Education Network implements a project: "Economic and social participation of vulnerable displaced and local population in the South Caucasus - EPIC". The project objective is to ensure that IDPs and local people (especially youngsters) have increased opportunities for positive developments and enhanced social cohesion in their communities.
The project is implemented at five locations: Tetriskaro and Marneuli municipalities in East Georgia, Tsalenjikha and Senaki municipalities in West Georgia and in Tbilisi through community based partners: Koda Adult Education Centre (AEC), Shaumiani AEC, Jvari AEC, Senaki AEC and Georgian Union of Educators "Lampari" (Tbilisi).
Target groups of the project are: a) youngsters aged 14-29; b) four Women Clubs/groups established by Georgian Adult Education Network; c) CSOs working on youth and women issues.
In order to assess the needs of the above target groups thoroughly and define concrete project activities for the beneficiaries, DVV International plans to carry out a needs assessment prior to project activities.
