The East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) is seeking a full time Program Assistant for its Policy, Advocacy, and Civil Society Development in Georgia (G-PAC) program, a four-year USAID funded project. G-PAC aims to strengthen civil society's role in Georgia in advocating for and influencing the development and effective implementation of public policy reforms.
Main responsibilities:
** Assist EWMI G-PAC's Program Manager in appropriate, accurate, and timely reporting of monitoring and evaluation data for all G-PAC activities;
** Assist EWMI G-PAC's Grants Manager in ensuring appropriate and accurate documentation of G-PAC's grant-making activities by grantees and by G-PAC;
** Assist EWMI G-PAC's Grants Manager in preparing technical reports on grant-making activities;
** Assist EWMI G-PAC's Financial Officer in accurate filing of financial documentation;
** Assist EWMI G-PAC's Public Relations Coordinator in organizing G-PAC's public events;
** Provide Georgian-English translation of various G-PAC documents;
** Assist EWMI G-PAC's staff with various administrative tasks, as needed;
** Perform others tasks related to G-PAC's objectives as needed.
Desired qualifications:
** A university degree in social sciences, finance, management, or a related field;
** At least one year of experience in working in the non-governmental or public sector; experience in grants administration, finance, and/or monitoring and evaluation preferred;
** Fluency in English and Georgian; knowledge of Russian language is a plus;
** Computer literacy and ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel is required;
** Familiarity with spreadsheets and databases;
** Good organizational skills and attention to detail;
** Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with non-governmental organizations and other relevant stakeholders and personnel associated with the G-PAC program.
