Management Systems International, implementing the USAID Good Governance in Georgia Program for the anticipated term of 2011-2014, seeks applications from candidates for two positions to perform the Assistant functions for the Good Governance in Georgia Program.
Job title: Outreach Assistant/Intern
Internship: Full time.
Start date: Immediate.
Location: Tbilisi
Responsibilities:
Assistance in development and implementation of public awareness campaign on Good Governance values; perform media monitoring on a daily basis, develop social media tools for the program and assist in daily outreach activities.
** Develop awareness campaign on Good Governance values jointly with the Outreach Manager;
** Develop and collect resources on Good Governance for the G3 website and publications;
** Assist in implementation of smaller / targeted outreach campaigns;
** Create and maintain media-monitoring database;
** Monitor press and internet media on a daily basis to identify and record G3 related materials selected according to preliminarily identified topics;
** Work with regional representatives and collect monitoring information regularly;
** Prepare weekly / monthly monitoring reports including quantitative analysis of collected materials;
** Create and maintain monitoring clipping;
** Create, develop and follow social networks of behalf of the G3;
** Participate and assist Outreach Manager in daily outreach activities.
Qualifications:
** Bachelor's Degree in Journalism/Public Relations or political sciences;
** Experience on working communication campaigns;
** Good knowledge of local media;
** Understanding political, social, cultural environment;
** Native Georgian, Fluent English;
** Excellent writing and communications skills;
** Good presentation skills;
** Computer literacy;
** Attentive to details;
** Open minded, creative.
Other:
** Interns will be expected to work a fixed schedule of 20-35 hours/week.
** Willingness to work outside normal office hours and on weekends as required.
