World Vision South Caucasus is announcing an opening for the position of: Grant Acquisition Officer

This position is part of WV South Caucasus Strategy, Quality and Evidence (SQE) team. The main objectives of the SQE team are: a) to provide guidance and leadership for WV SC Strategy elaboration, planning and implementation tracking; b) to support to the sustainability of the organization through ensuring resource mobilization and leveraging; c) to provide Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME) and technical guidance/support for the Ministry Quality and improved Child Well Being; d) to promote the impact driven Ministry through strong evidence base and knowledge management systems.
Purpose of the position:
The purpose of this position is to implement the World Vision South Caucasus (WV SC) Grant Acquisition Management (GAM) Strategy under the supervision of Senior Grant Acquisition Officer and ensure on-time and quality grant concepts and proposals in line with WV SC DME standards and donor requirements.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
** Provide input on donor strategies and priorities as per request
** Provide support for WV SC GAM Strategy elaboration
** Apply Proposal Pro modules when necessary
** Develop grant concepts and proposals in cooperation with other stakeholders
** Ensure that WV SC grant concepts/proposals meet both WVSC DME quality standards and donor requirements
** Ensure that grant concepts and proposals are complementary/in line to the ADP designs where possible
** Provide support for PNSF and local fundraising
** Participate in donor engagement as assigned by GA Senior Officer
** Ensure WV SC representation in WV internal and external events related to GAM
** Assist programmes in locating appropriate partners for grant acquisition and assist with negotiations
** Provide required capacity building to programme staff and partners for effective GAM implementation
Required qualifications:
** Bachelor's Degree in international development, sociology, or other social sciences.
** Thorough understanding of the historical, cultural, political and socioeconomic situation in South Caucasus countries.
** Strong analytical skills
** Knowledge of the program management cycle
** Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
** Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and cultural sensitivity
** Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work under pressure
** Proven knowledge of and skills for computer software application
** Experience in program design and proposal writing.
** Experience in monitoring and evaluation
** Ability to travel to the sites up to 30% of time
