Peace Corps initiated its program in Georgia in 2001 with 21 Volunteers working in secondary education English teaching assignments. Since that time, over 500 Volunteers have served in Georgia, exchanging skills with their counterparts, supervisors and community members; sharing American culture; and taking a part of Georgian culture back home to the United States. The fourteenth group of Volunteers will arrive in April 2014. All volunteers will complete a 12 week intensive training course, which is called Pre-Service Training (PST).
Peace Corps Georgia is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Training Intern.
Duty Station: Khashuri
Deadline: March 15, 2014
Dates of contract: April 17 - July 21, 2014.
Position summary:
The Intern provides general office, administrative and logistic support to the pre-service training (PST) staff. He/she assists with typing up, filing, photo copying, making phone calls, driver schedules, and creating or maintaining computer files and documents. He/she assists all members of the PST staff and reports to the director of programming and training (DPT). He/she will live at the training site in Khashuri.
Major duties and responsibilities:
**Provides assistance in creating and maintaining files, both paper and electronic
**Assists in organizing binders and files
**Assists in updating and producing forms and documents
**Makes phone calls and appointments and schedules as requested
**Creates and maintains PST driver schedules
**Prepares coffee breaks for hub days
**Coordinates office maintenance and cleaning with cleaning staff
**Coordinates training room schedule for hub days
**Provides additional general office, administrative, or logistic support as requested
Required qualifications:
**Fluency in English and Georgian
**Good interpersonal skills
**Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint)
**Flexible, positive attitude, ability to work independently, ability to meet deadlines and multi task
Desired qualifications:
**Experience working with Americans

**Note that only short listed candidates will be invited to the interview. Interviews will be held in March.
**Staff must live full-time in the training site for a period of 12 weeks and attend orientation training which will be held in Tbilisi.
