Peace Corps initiated its program in Georgia in 2001 with 21 Volunteers working in secondary education English teaching assignments. Since that time, over 500 Volunteers have served in Georgia, exchanging skills with their counterparts, supervisors and community members; sharing American culture; and taking a part of Georgian culture back home to the United States. The fourteenth group of Volunteers will arrive in April 2014. All volunteers will complete a 12 week intensive training course, which is called Pre-Service Training (PST).
Peace Corps Georgia is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant.
Duty station: Khashuri

Dates of contract: March 24 - July 21, 2014
March 24 - April 17 - Tbilisi
April 22 - July 21 - Khashuri.
The Administrative Assistant (AA) will work under the supervision of the Training Director, and in coordination with Tbilisi-based Administrative Officer and administrative staff. S/he will be responsible for the overall logistics, accounting, transactions, including purchases for the 12 week Pre-Service Training (PST). The AA will coordinate drivers, cleaning staff, and oversee daily operations at the training site. The AA produces logs and event memos. By the end of the contract, the AA completes complete a final training electronic report, which will include all relevant documentation, materials used during the training and recommendations for the next year.
Duties and responsibilities:
** Attends and participates in all pre-PST planning meetings and activities including involvement in and facilitation of sessions in the all-staff Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop;
** Assists the Training Director in the implementation of policies and procedures regarding the use of all Peace Corps and/or training site equipment and services;
** In coordination with the Training Director, manages all fiscal, cost and budgeting controls and procedures;
** Manages and maintains the inventory of all training equipment;
** Manages supplies and oversees supply inventory;
** Manages scheduling of all vehicles and provides logistical support to staff for the training program;
** Maintains accurate and complete financial records and submits reports to Training Director on regular basis as required;
** Maintains the training and personal files of the Trainees and Staff.
** Maintains accurate and complete logs for vehicles;
** Coordinates with staff individually to solicit the logistical needs for the training program;
** Attends weekly staff meetings and takes minutes;
** Participates in training sessions as appropriate or requested;
** Coordinates the cleaning of offices and training space;
** Coordinates coffee breaks during the hub days;
** Maintains accurate and complete records, weekly, periodic and final reports;
** As member of the training staff, ensures an efficient operation of the training, and follows all Peace Corps regulations and guidelines;
** Undertakes other tasks as determined by the Training Director.
Required qualifications and abilities:
** University degree;
** Two years of related work experience;
** Fluency in written and spoken English;
** Computer experience in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.
** Good working knowledge of administrative procedures, organizational skills, ability to perform administrative responsibilities efficiently and in compliance with Peace Corps and relevant local regulations.
Desired qualifications and abilities: Prior experience in working with Americans and/or experience living abroad.

Note that only short listed candidates will be invited to the interview. Interviews will be held in March.
Staff must live full-time in the training sites for a period of 12 weeks and attend orientation training which will be held in Tbilisi.
