Position: Youth Voices Group Member (World Bank Georgia Office)
Youth Voices Georgia is a group of young people aged from 18 to 25, who have an interest in discussing and analyzing issues of concern to young people in Georgia and bringing them to the World Bank's attention. The Youth Voices initiative is a part of the larger effort on behalf of the World Bank to engage in a systematic dialogue with young people, either as individuals or as youth groups, so as to include their perspectives and needs in the development process. The Youth Voices Georgia group (YVG) was set up at the World Bank Tbilisi Office in May 2004. The objective of the YVG is to encourage young people to use their experiences, perspectives and priorities to bring fresh ideas and recommendations for youth programs and policies to the World Bank. The Youth Voices Group is diverse in terms of age, educational and work/volunteering background. The group members meet regularly in the World Bank Tbilisi Office. All group members are volunteers.
