Tbilisi. The
Georgian Young Lawyers' Association has filed a lawsuit on November 18 against the Ministry
of Corrections of Georgia and the Penitentiary Department on behalf of A.M. and
Z.M.
"In 2011-2012, while serving sentences in the penitentiary
institutions N8 and N18, these persons were subjected to torture and ill
treatment by the institutions' staff.
Compensation of proprietary and moral damages inflicted on the
plaintiffs is a subject dispute in court".
