Tbilisi. The "Georgian Young Constitutionalists’ Association” has responded to determination of an entity holding the so-called secret tapping key. "Out of the proposed draft laws, the version providing the so-called key to the Ministry of Interior and the Personal Data Protection Inspector should be considered as optimal, because, in the first place, the Ministry of Interior is the state body protecting public order and it should have efficient leverages for this, while the functions of the Personal Data Protection Inspector are not only incompatible but are consistent with holding the key, because the Inspector controls the protection of personal data, and secret surveillance limits the right to inviolability of personal information”, says the statement released by the organization.
