Women's Club - New Movement to Activate Women
Adjara. The Batumi Civic Engagement Center has hosted a meeting on January 24. To activate women residing in Adjara, a women's club was set up at the initiative of the Gender Equality Network. The Club will work on women's needs and solution of their problems. According to the Coordinator of the Gender Equality Network Maia Sharvashidze, the work undertaken has shown that women representation at legislative and executive levels is low. The Club will be set up across the region in all municipalities and train leader and successful women for participating in the elections.
