TI: ‘’Ministry of Finances Releases Already Fourth Data on Budget Deficit’’
Tbilisi. Transparency International – Georgia has released a publication: "Ministry of Finances Releases already Fourth Data on Budget Deficit".
On March 19 "Transparency International – Georgia" has released a small study, in which the organization reported about "miscalculation by the Ministry of Finances of the 2014 budget deficit and unjustified deposit of 82 million GEL on the return sub-account".
According to the organization, "within 24 hours from releasing the study, the Ministry of Finances has announced 3 different data on the deficit: on March 19, a 3.2% deficit has first reduced to 3%, and on March 20 increased back to 3.2%. And today... it has posted the fourth data on the web page, pursuant to which the 2014 budget deficit is 2.95%... Biggest absurd at the moment is that web page of the Ministry of Finances simultaneously shows two different data of deficit: 2.95% and 3.2%.
