Abortion Statistics in Georgia for 2004-2014
Tbilisi. The Institute for the Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) has released information obtained from the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Welfare concerning the number of abortions in Georgia in 2013-2014.
"... 39 225 facts of termination of pregnancy were reported officially in 2012. According to the obtained information, in the following years the abortion trend is declining. In 2013, cases were reduced to 36 537 cases, and in 2014 under the preliminary data, 31 908 case were reported", the publication states.
