Discussion – ''How Civil Activism Changed Local Democracy''
Adjara. The Heinrich Boll Foundation has organized a public discussion - "How civil activism changed local democracy", hosted by the Batumi Civic Engagement Center on May 20. Meeting participants have discussed legislative gaps, as well as the self-government's role and functions, what local self-government should be like and which forms should be used to enhance civil interests. Lawyers, City Council members, third sector representatives and the Civil Advisers' Council members have attended the meeting.
