Imereti. The Public Defender of Georgia has presented the 2014 annual report on human rights and freedoms at the plenary session of the Parliament of Georgia on July 2. Ucha Nanuashvili has made a special focus on development of national human rights strategy and action plan, and the need to ratify a host of international conventions. He spoke about reforms and challenges of the penitentiary system; search for solution of problems of vulnerable groups; children's rights; gender equality and the establishment of tolerant environment.
